In January 2020 British PPR Solutions started a great project for Harrogate Council working on their new build timber frame project to supply and fit British Gypsum framing systems with British Gypsum plasterboard and finish to 18 apartments to house the Homeless.

This also consisted of communal areas, meeting rooms, Kitchens, and shower areas. We had 3 months to complete all works in Harrogate.

We Plaster boarded all the walls using various plasterboards ranging from, Sound block, Fireline, Moisture, and standard British gypsum plasterboards. The spec for the walls were x2 layers of British Gypsum Sound block boards, British Gypsum Resilient bar with a 15mm Sound blockboard to finish.

We had to bring the walls to finish using a joint and tape system before we could tie the British Gypsum MF Framing ceiling system. This was so we could fire tape above the new ceilings as the existing joists were lined with British Gypsum 15mm Sound Block boards and finished with a fire tape.

This not only formed a good Sound barrier but also a good Fire stop. We then tied the ceilings in taping the corners into the new walls once all the M and E work was completed overhead.

We managed the site very well, we had 2 permanent labourers on-site at Harrogate, Cleaning site, Moving plasterboards and Loading out.

The work for the Harrogate council has enabled us to form a great working relationship. We can work closely with Councils, Schools and Large construction Companies. The scale of the works and time scale of turnaround was achieved well within the scope of works the council had.

We want to thank the Harrogate council for the time and help they gave us to complete the work at Spa Lane Harrogate for them. We appreciate a great working relationship with all our clients and look to build lasting relationships.
