At Invicta, we offer an innovative and highly efficient internal wall insulation (IWI) solution known as the SWIP system. This advanced system involves laying out a stud wall system fixed into the masonry, with a focus on preventing cold spots and enhancing the thermal performance of your property. The SWIP system not only provides exceptional insulation but also ensures a breathable environment, contributing to a healthier and more comfortable living space.
The SWIP internal wall insulation solution features a meticulously designed process. First, the stud wall system is carefully laid out and insulated to effectively prevent cold spots. Once the insulation is in place, it is filled with a high-quality material to optimise thermal performance. A specialised membrane is then installed over the top to allow the system to breathe, creating a healthier living environment. The final finishing touch involves the application of plasterboard and a plaster finish, resulting in a seamless and attractive interior wall surface. With a total system depth of 70mm, the SWIP system efficiently maximises insulation without compromising on space.
Prior to the installation of the SWIP system, certain enabling works are required to prepare the designated areas. This includes the removal and repositioning of radiators, adjustment of windowsills to accommodate the system, and relocation of any appliances. Our experienced team ensures that these enabling works are seamlessly integrated, minimising any disruption to your daily routine. On average, the installation of the SWIP system in a semi-detached property can be completed within 1 to 1.5 weeks, providing an efficient and prompt upgrade to your property’s thermal efficiency.
We are proud to offer the SWIP internal wall insulation as part of the PAS 2030 grant scheme, allowing eligible property owners to access funding for energy-efficient upgrades. Similar to our external wall insulation (EWI) system, the SWIP solution adheres to the grant scheme’s regulations, making it an accessible and cost-effective way to enhance your property’s thermal performance.
To ensure a smooth and transparent process, we require an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) rating before providing a quotation for the SWIP system installation. Once the property owner or landlord arranges for the EPC rating, our dedicated coordinator conducts a thorough assessment of the property to determine the necessary works for the installation. Following this assessment, a detailed quotation is provided, and funding can be applied for through the grant scheme. Upon confirmation of funding, a retrofit survey is carried out to finalize the installation plan. We prioritise the protection of your personal data and strictly adhere to GDPR regulations when obtaining written permission for grant funding claims through universal credit.
At Invicta Construction Finishes, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional internal wall insulation solutions through our proven SWIP system. Enhance your property’s energy efficiency and thermal performance while taking advantage of available grant scheme funding.
