Who we are

Invicta Construction Finishes is a plastering and construction finishes contractor serving Leeds and West Yorkshire. For the purposes of data protection law we are the controller of the personal information described here. What we collect and why

When you ask for a quote, by the form on this site, by phone or by email, we collect what we need to survey and price the job: your name, phone number, email address, the postcode or address of the property, what needs doing, and any photographs or measurements you send. During the job we may take photographs of the work for our own records and for the quote, snagging and handover documents. We do not ask for, and do not want, anything else.

The lawful basis for using this information is that it is necessary to take the steps you have asked for before entering into a contract, and then to perform the contract. Where we keep records after the job, it is for our legitimate interest in answering queries, honouring snagging visits and meeting our legal and accounting obligations.

How the quote form works

The Quick Quote form on this site does not send your details to a server of ours. When you press the button, your own device opens your email application with the enquiry written out and addressed to info@invictaconstructionfinishes.co.uk; nothing is sent until you press send in that application. If your device has no email application configured, nothing is sent at all, and the page tells you to email us directly. This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers.

Who else sees it

Your details are seen by the people in the business who survey, quote, carry out and invoice the work. We do not sell or share them with anyone for marketing. We share them only where the job requires it: with a scaffold company to arrange access, with a testing laboratory for an asbestos sample (the sample, not your name, is what they need), with a specialist contractor where the work is subcontracted, and with our accountants and, if ever required, our insurers or legal advisers.

Pages on this site embed Google Maps to show our listing and the towns we cover, and link to our reviews on Google. When a map loads, Google receives the technical information any embedded map receives, such as your IP address, under Google's own privacy policy. The maps load lazily, when you scroll to them, rather than on page load.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become a job are deleted within twelve months. Records of jobs we have carried out, including quotes, invoices, photographs and correspondence, are kept for as long as we are obliged to keep accounting records and for as long as a snagging or defect query could reasonably arise, and then deleted.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we no longer need it, and object to or restrict its use. Email info@invictaconstructionfinishes.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Changes to this notice

If the way this site or the business handles information changes, for example if the quote form is connected to a server or analytics are added, this notice will be updated to say so before the change takes effect.
